Locally sourced.

Globally worn.

Wolf & Rita developed as a separate brand inside a small family business based in the North of Portugal. Taking advantage of an history of more than 30 years of experience in specialised shirts making, the decision to create our own brand came naturally.

Embracing the use of old techniques and the natural expertise that comes with experience, Wolf & Rita still maintains its family structure and most of its staff has been working in the company for more than three decades, passing along its valuable expertise and skills to a new generation of workers.

Our first collection, AW13/14 Indian Winter, was successfully received by both public and media. Since then, our growth has been constant and our clothes can be found in the most prestigious stores in thirty countries around the world.

Both our fabrics and
trimmings are of the
finest quality.

We present the tag 100% Made in Portugal as a proof of quality but also as a means of supporting our local community.

Our clothes are manufactured through a carefully selected network of suppliers, all located in Portugal, most of them our neighbours and many working with us since the brand was founded.

We work with a local charity, that gives shelter and support to children in need, to print our stationary, cards, labels and smaller publications.

Our workers are employed locally and 98% of them live within a 10Km distance. We strive everyday to improve their working conditions, providing them fair wages and private health care insurance, fostering new skills and hopefully making theirs a desirable job.

We care for the environment as much as we care for the people.

Since the start of Wolf & Rita, we have tried to use organic certified fabrics whenever possible. We have now started to include recycled and renewable materials and fibres and we are also reusing fabrics from our own previous collections and others left at our production unit.

Our offices and GOTS certified production unit are equipped with solar panels and energy efficient lighting and we are doing our best to save water and ensure that waste is recycled, reducing our overall environmental impact.

The bags we use to protect our clothes travelling to and while in our warehouse used to be biodegradable but we have switched to “better for the environment” bags, that we use over and over again, produced less than 10kms from our office and entirely made from recycled plastic, 80% of which were PCR (post-consumer recycled) materials.

As a brand, we do our best to have a positive impact for everyone involved in the making of our products as well as the environment. It is a lifetime commitment. Hope you join us.
